I was blessed to be able to travel to Port Angeles to attend a surprise birthday party for my Grandma. I didn't think I was going to be able to go but then God worked out the details for us and off I went. I am so thankful that I got to be there as it would have been very sad to be sitting at home on that day knowing that I was the only grandchild not there. It was a happy, fun, and memorable time. We all met at the restaraunt ahead of her arrival. There were all her kids, grandkids, many great-grandkids, as well as relatives that flew over from Minnesota, and close friends. We had a fun time visiting while we were waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to get there. When we heard that whispered announcement that she had arrived, we all stood there eagerly waiting for her to walk through the door. As she walked in, she saw us all and the reaction was priceless. She was so surprised and excited. Grandpa just stood there with a thrilled grin on his face. Then we all sang happy birthday and then she walked around greeting and hugging everyone. Then we enjoyed a superb lunch. Afterwards it was picture time. I think there were a hundred pictures taken that day! Then later that evening we went to their house to have dinner and visit with all the family. It was such a fun time and I got to meet Minnesota family for the first time. Here are some pictures below for you to enjoy.
Grandpa and Grandma - don't they look perfect?!!....

Me with Grandma and Grandpa...my favorite picture!!.......

And when I returned home, I was greeted at the airport by my kids...I think!

The rest of my time there was just as enjoyable. I was able to go stay at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's house to say good-bye to Jake before he heads off to the Iraq with the Oregon National Guard. We are just so proud of him and pray for his safe and timely return. I also got to participate in helping my little sister pick out her wedding dress. Thank you Josh for finally popping the question just in time for me to be there!! It was so much fun to watch her in her excitement as she walked around the store looking for the one to try on. As soon as she saw her dress, she knew it was THE ONE and we all had to agree. The trip was perfect and I am so thankful that I got to be there.
