New in the Sky

from the Alaska Airlines website : "We’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Alaska statehood in a big way. We gave a blank canvas to school-aged kids throughout Alaska and asked them to come up with a design for one of our Boeing 737s that would best capture the spirit of the state.
The Spirit of Alaska Statehood is the result. The winning design came from 16-year-old Hannah Hamberg from Sitka High School. Her design was chosen for its creativity, style, and positive theme.
In addition to having her work of art displayed on a 120-foot long canvas for five years, Hannah and her family get a complete Disneyland Resort® vacation. Alaska Airlines gets a beautiful and unique way to celebrate our pride in our namesake state."

We got to see this jet today as it landed in Sitka. There were many locals there to enjoy it and they even opened the gates and let us go in!! I can't wait to fly on it!! Here are the pictures.....
