"I'm fishin' in the rain, just fishin' in the rain; what a glorious feeling, I'm happy again, just singin' and fishin' in the rain!" Alaskan's don't need a covered boat, but smart Alaskans have one anyway! So, despite our torrential rain, we donned our raingear, hunkered down and went fishing. The fish like water, and rain is water, so we should still catch fish, right? The girls played it smart and stayed in the cabin, the guys wore their Grundens Foul Weather gear, and I found out my rainpants are only waterproof to a point. But we had a fun afternoon and were glad we went. At some point, Andrew spotted my camera and asked if he could take some pictures, so here is the afternoon from Andrew's perspective.
a gray, rainy day on the water.....
waiting for the nibble, nibble, tug, tug.....
the net is ready and waiting.....
ok, i took this picture, but it's the only one i can claim.....
see, you can't say i took this one.....!
nelly stays warm in my lucky fishing hat.....
after a bit, meg took her hair down and gave us a head swingin'
performance to the music.....
