On Saturday we decided that regardless of the rain, we needed to get out and take a hike. It had been awhile so it was definitely time! So we grabbed our hiking shoes and our camelbacks (backpacks with bladders in them for carrying your water. There is a little tube that comes out and runs along the strap to be right there at your mouth when you need a drink. They work great!!) and hit the trail. This time we went to Beaver Lake which starts out with a short, steep climb and the finishes along a meadow and muskeg.

Megan ALWAYS has to be in the lead!!!.......

taking a break halfway up............

the perfect stump to sit on and have your picture taken!..

waaayyyyy down at the bottom is the parking lot....

a beautiful meadow at the top; it was full of
several different wildflowers..........

two unusual flowers that we saw............

taking a snack break at the lake........

do you really think he did it??!!!........

on a clear day you can see the mountain peaks in the distance.....

I wonder what they were talking about?.....

if you look closely, you can see the bear track that was
on the trail. The dog let us know it was close by on the way back down.....

enjoying each other........

the one problem with the camelback...it is a little too accessible!!!
