The bears were out tonight!

The bears have been out every day so we decided to drive out and watch them. There used to be just a sow with two cubs, but more bears have moved in. Tonight we saw the sow and cubs as well as a teenager off on his own.

we started out by watching the young one grazing....
here is the lookout that gives a perfect view....

after grazing, he headed to the river to fish....

looking for fish.....

this is one of the best shows in town....

he ended up crossing the road. everyone went to the guardrail to watch and he started feeling trapped and getting anxious, running back and forth and looking up at us....

at this point, I decided it was time to get into the car and

didn't bother to aim or focus!....

after the lone bear ran into the nearby woods, the mama and her

two cubs showed up. these are the cubs looking for mom....

the sow was not happy about all the people and was very watchful.

we were safely in the car watching at this point....

I took my good camera with me so I could get some close ups but when I tried to take the first picture I discovered my memory card was not in it so I was unable to take any. I ended up using my pocket camera. So tomorrow evening I hope to go out with the memory card this time and get some close ups. Hopefully the bears will be out when I get there!! If they are, you will see the pictures posted here. No pictures means no bears!
