Fathom von Lytle

Well, after waiting 8 long weeks, he is finally here! Our newest member Fathom arrived today from Palmer, Alaska. He is a pretty cool little guy. He walked out of the airline crate at Air Cargo as if he was used to it and looked at me as if to say, "okay, I'm here - now what are we going to do?" He is a very self-assured, brave, fearless, friendly pup. We got him to use for Search and Rescue so we will probably start training him next weekend, after he settles in and has a bond with me. Yes, he is all black, and yes, you can have an all black German Shepherd. And yes, his ears will stand up! Enjoy all the pictures - they were all so cute I couldn't decide which ones to use so I used them all!

he has a fresh tattoo in his ear, which is why you see green.
the extra dye will wear off and you won't be able to see anything...

Troy, Jenn & Kids...
Congratulations on your newest canine family member! He is absolutely gorgeous (excuse me... Handsome) and yes, I concur... there certainly are pure black GSDs! He looks like the pick of the 'working class' litter. German Shepherd Dogs are the rulers when it comes to SAR.
Enjoy Fathom while you can, kids. He will be running off to doggie school before you know it! Sue =^D
