Forest and Muskeg Trail

Today the sun was out againand it was so warm! Well, the sun was warm, but the snow at our feet wasn't! Anyway, we went out and hiked the Forest and Muskeg Trail. We chose it because we knew that the muskeg portion would be in the open with a lot of sunshine. We were not mistaken. One thing we did learn though, which I guess we already knew, is that in a small town like Sitka, that is surrounded by water, there are limited trails to hike which means that on a beautiful day, they can be a little crowded. That is why we bought our boat - we can get in it and go to a secluded beach anywhere we want and have it all to ourselves! Anyway, after we got done with the trail we decided to find a spot that we could sit and soak in the sun while the kids played. So we wentout ot Whale Park and found a big rock to sit on right at the cliff's edge and enjoyed our time greatly!

Wow Cool Views! Our trails are still so icey. The last time we went out (monday) we ended up having to get off the trail and follow a deer path.
