Valentine Fun

When the kids were real little and I was really stressed out, I looked forward to an excuse to have a couple hours off, like Valentine's Day. That was when Troy would arrange a babysitter and take me to dinner or a movie. But now that the kids are older, I am not stressed out and I enjoy having them with us as much, if not more, than not having them with us. So, since Valentine's Day was beautiful, and we hadn't been in the boat for awhile, we decided to go find a beach somewhere and play. We had one in mind, but we could not find a good spot to anchor so we wandered aimlessly until we came up with a plan and then headed for Samsing Cove. It is a beautiful cove that has a Forest Service cabin on it. We have it reserved for Memorial Day weekend, so we decided to go check it out. It is about 10 minutes from town, so we will be able to come home halfway through (or more often!) and take a shower. And drop off fish to the freezer!! But that is another blog entry so I won't tell you everything now. You will have to wait for that. Anyway, when we got to the cove, there was a perfect beach right there in the blazing sun. So we beached the boat and enjoyed a few hours exploring and sunning. It felt great! Here are a few pictures of our day.
